‘Twas the night after finals, and all through the campus, not a creature was studying, not even old Krampus… Congratulations, everyone! No more finals (for now)! We made it! So don’t be a stranger; join in the celebration tonight of a successful semester and calendar year with the PLA and our EFA allies.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year: December 14! I jest, but truly, it’s hard to go wrong with a celebration between friends, colleagues, and allies for a year’s work well done. Those of you who have attended events, those of you who have sent in privacy news, and those of you who have just signed up on our mailing list as members: you’re part of what has made running the PLA at New York Law School possible. A thank you to you all, and I hope to see you at the social, where we’ll join in cheering similar efforts by fellow EFA members nationwide.

Privacy News
As we head home (or far away) for the holidays, remember that privacy is with us always. Props to the Mozilla Foundation for keeping a weather eye out for grinches! Some prime gifts this holiday season are really gifts for advertisers and bad actors, as they open up avenues for spying on your friends, your loved ones, and your home. Take heart, though: it’s not all bad news. This winter is an excellent time to make sure that what you share isn’t tracking data, but warmth and cheer.
